HP / Agilent 35665A Options Upgrade -

We offer an EEPROM programming service to activate the various options in the now obsolete and unsupported HP / Agilent 35665A Dynamic Signal Analyzer. The available programmable options for the 35665A include: 1D0, 1D1, 1D2, 1D3, 1D4, and 1C2 and are described as follows.

Programmable options:
1D0 Computed Order Tracking (requires option 1C1 or ANA)
1D1 Real-time Octave Measurements
1D2 Swept-Sine Measurements
1D3 Curve Fit and Synthesis
1D4 Arbitrary Waveform Source
1C2 HP Instrument BASIC

Hardware options:
1C1 Adds 2 MByte Memory
ANA Adds 6 MByte Memory

We provide a new EEPROM (24C01) programmed with your instrument's serial number and all available programmable options activated. The 24C01 replaces the obsolete 85C72 EPROM.

Installation:
The EEPROM is socketed and easy to replace. However, we recommend an experience electronics technician undertake this task, since some disassemble of the instrument is required to gain access to the EEPROM socket and proper ESD procedures must be followed to avoid damaging the instrument. At the same time we also recommend replacement of the nonvolatile memory backup battery (B200). The backup battery will require some de-soldering and soldering. Pictures of the disassemble and replacement are posted here. The "HP 35665A Memory Upgrade Installation Procedure" document (part number 35665-90060) describes the step-by-step procedure including tools for disassemble of the 35665A to gain access to the memory and cpu boards.

Pricing and part numbers:

Order P/N 35665A-01 = $65.00 (includes EEPROM & Lithium Battery)
Order P/N 35665A-02 = $55.00 (includes EEPROM only)

Part Number 35665A-01 includes pre-programmed 24C01 EEPROM with all available programmable options and serial number, plus one 3.6V AA-size lithium backup battery. Part Number 35665A-02 deletes backup battery. Quantity discounts apply according to the schedule below. NOTE: When placing order, we will need the serial number of the instrument(s) being upgraded.

Ordering -

Prices are for quantities of 1 to 4 each. Discount pricing for quantities of 5 or more is as follows: 5-9 list less 10%, 10-15 list less 15%, 16-up list less 20%.

To place an order or to request a quotation and delivery times, email us with the part number, quantity, and shipping address. We normally respond in 24 hours. Prices are in US dollars and do not include shipping cost. Shipments to California addresses are subject to 7.75% sales tax unless you provide us with a current CA resale permit number.

Small orders ship by USPS Priority Mail small flat rate box to USA destinations, and international orders ship by Priority Mail International or Express Mail International. Please note: Express Mail International provides tracking through customs and delivery. Priority Mail International does not.

For domestic orders (1 lb or less), shipping cost is $5.20 for Priority Mail (small flat rate box) with delivery confirmation. For international orders or other shippers (Fed Ex or UPS), please email us for shipping cost. As of 8 February 2008, we are no longer shipping by DHL.

Note: Priority Mail International and Express Mail International are not available to all countries. Shipping costs will be higher to those countries, and an additional charge of $10 will be applied to complete customs forms if required by destination country.

We accept checks drawn on a US bank, wire or telegraphic transfer (T/T), money orders, company purchase orders, and PayPal. Credit cards are accepted only through our merchant account at PayPal. Our PayPal email address is: sales@glkinst.com. If paying by credit card, we will gladly forward a PayPal invoice to your email address that you can pay directly and securely. We do not need your credit card information. We are a verified member of PayPal. For international PayPal users, we add 1.5% to total (including shipping). For telegraphic transfers, a bank fee of $50 USD will be applied to order.
